Getting to UNESCO HQ UNESCO is located in central Paris with a wide range of transportation options. Public transport: bus and metro The metro stations closest to UNESCO are Ségur (line 10), Cambronne (line 6) and Ecole Militaire and La Motte Piquet-Grenelle (line 8). Also, Saint François-Xavier (line 13) is a 10 – 15 min walk (see the map) away. For more information on public transportation in Paris, please visit the RATP website. Buses 28, 80, 82, 87 and 92 serve the vicinity of UNESCO. The closest bus stops are Fontenoy/UNESCO (28), Duquesne-Lowendal (28, 80), Cambronne (80), Général de Bollardière (80, 82) and Ecole Militaire (28, 82, 87, 92). Bicycle If you cycle to work, you can park your bicycle at the bicycle racks next to the Bâtiment de Conferences entrance on Avenue de Suffren or close to the main entrance at Place de Fontenoy. Paris also offers a large-scale public bicycle sharing system called Velib’. Several Velib’ stations are located around UNESCO. More information on costs and a map of all the stations can be found on the Velib’ website. Car UNESCO HQ Fontenoy and Miollis buildings both have underground car parks, accessible via Place de Fontenoy and Rue Miollis respectively. Parking spaces are rented out to staff members for a monthly fee. There are also pay and display on-street parking areas around UNESCO. Another option is to make use of the electric car sharing service Paris operates. There are a number of Autolib’ stations in the area of UNESCO. CONFERENCE ROOMS All UNESCO's conference rooms are numbered with Roman numerals. Fontenoy houses conference rooms I - XII. Conference rooms I, II, III, IV and V are all located on the ground floor, the remaining conference rooms are all located on the -1 and -2 levels at Fontenoy.
OTHER FACILITIES Banking Service, ground floor @Fontenoy, 9.30 a.m. – 12.15 p.m. and 1.15 p.m. – 5.15 p.m. There is a branch of Société Générale offering services in English and French and an ATM facility. Book, stamp and souvenir shop, ground floor @Fontenoy, 9.30 a.m. – 1.15 p.m. and 2.15 p.m. – 6 p.m. Located on the left of the main entrance, it sells small souvenirs such as T-shirts, mugs, bags, keychains, etc., as well as books, stamps and lanyards. Library, ground floor @Fontenoy, 9.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. It offers ready access to a selection of daily newspapers and periodicals, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, directories, guidebooks and other materials.
